Our Fees
Patent GC’s services are available at rates significantly lower than those of traditional law firms because we leverage technology and do not have costly overhead expenses such as office space, associates, and a large support staff
Patent GC is flexible in its billing arrangements with clients, providing for either a set fee for a well-defined project or hourly-based billing at an hourly rate that is substantially less than the rate charged even by smaller law firms.
For clients who wish to have Patent GC act as de facto IP counsel, with the attorney dedicating up to 2 days/week to the client, we often agree on a negotiated weekly or monthly rate. In this case, if translated into an hourly rate, the negotiated rates are less than one-third of the rates charged by traditional law firms for comparable levels of expertise. And at two days per week, our rates are one-third to one-half of the cost of hiring a full-time in-house IP specialist.
We are committed to offering straightforward, fair and transparent billing practices, something our clients truly appreciate. We do not charge for regular photocopies, domestic phone calls or other incidental expenses. We expect to get paid for our legal expertise, not for our ordinary costs of doing business.
